Transportation
WIS does not provide busing at the present time. Many of our families have car pools worked out. A school administrator will work with parents and make suggestions based on geographical location of residence if you are interested.
Morning Drop-off Procedures:
Note: Before school care is available from 7 a.m. until 8:15 a.m.
- Early Learning (formerly Toddler) students:
Parents are asked to bring Early Learning students to the Early
Learning classroom on the second floor. Parents may stay for this
short period and meet with the teachers or other parents.
Parents are asked to bring 3K students to the gym rather than to the
classroom upon arrival. The children have an opportunity to run
around and get into a 'school' mind-set. Parents may stay for this
short period and meet with the teachers or other parents. When the
weather is nice, the children start their day outside in the play area
attached to the school, rather than the gym.
4K students go straight to their classrooms at 8:15 a.m. Prior to that,
students can wait quietly in the front lobby. Parents may accompany
their children upstairs if they choose.
- Elementary and preschool students:
School begins promptly at 8:30 a.m. for elementary and preschool
students. All elementary and preschool students may enter their
homerooms at 8:15 a.m. Prior to that, students are asked to wait
quietly in the front lobby.
Middle School students begin their day promptly at 8:20 a.m.
Middle school students may enter their homerooms at 8:10 a.m.
Prior to that, students are asked to wait quietly in the front lobby.
Alternative Drop-off Option between 8:15 and 8:30 a.m.:
Parents can drive the children to the back of the school on College Ave, enter the school parking lot by the first entrance and stop the car in the unloading zone. A school staff member will help your children out of the car and into the building. Parents exit out the second entrance onto College Avenue. Parent access cards and fobs will not open the back doors.
Mid-Day Pick-up:
Dismissal for half-day early learning and preschool students is Noon.
- Early Learning: Parents come to the classroom to pick up their children.
They will be brought to the interior doors outside the front lobby.
Once the parents arrive, students will be given to their parents.

Dismissal is at 3:15 to 3:30 p.m. Preschool students will be brought
downstairs to the interior doors outside the front lobby. Once the
parents arrive, students will be given to their parents.
- Elementary and Middle School students:

With parent consent, middle school students may leave the building
unescorted and from the front door only 3:30 p.m. Please contact the
office manager for that consent form or click here. Younger siblings
will still need to be turned over to parents at the front entrance.
Alternative Pick-up Option between 3:30 and 3:40 p.m.:
Parents can pick-up their children to the back of the school on College Ave. The process is a reverse of the morning drop-off process. Parents proceed past the school parking to the cul-de-sac at the end of the street and return back towards the school to join the car line on the street adjacent to the college parking lot. As space allows, parents drive their car into the second entrance to the school parking (reverse of morning drop-off) and stops in the loading zone. School staff call your children and assist them into your car. The parent then exits out the first entrance onto College Avenue. Parent access cards and fobs will not open the back doors.
